California School District Buys Fourteen Military Style Rifles to Defend Against Shooting
The Fontana Unified School District is arming its school police with new high-performance rifles. The district bought 14 Colt rifles valued at $1,000 each. The weapons are designed to provide accuracy over long distances. "In the event of an active shooter on campus, this weapon provides our officers with the tools they need to respond appropriately and mitigate the loss of life," school police Chief Billy Green said.
